  • Does Uncle Tommy's ever serve at events for groups under 200 ppl?

  • Yes, on many an occasion...The service and product is the same high quality for which Uncle Tommy's is known...we simply recalculate the rates prior to sending over a quote. Rates in the website are based on orders of +200; an order under 200 will be priced slightly higher

  • If we book a Self Serve event & then find that our co-workers aren't available to scoop or otherwise serve, can we renegotiate so one of Uncle Tommy's 'precise yet unpretentious' staff joins us?

  • When I fax/email back the signed Quote/Invoice form can I consider the event booked?

  • No. Only a deposit (50-100%) secures an event date on the calendar

  • When is balance due?

  • How do I know the precise ' deposit due date ' in order to secure either the 15% or 10% discounts?

  • Two methods: Uncle Tommy's online quote form will calculate both due dates automatically once you plug in the event date into the Information Form. The other method is to manually work backwards from event date on your calendar but double check/confirm with Tommy

  • What forms of payment does Uncle Tommy's accept?

  • Master Card / Visa / Company Check / Cash (pledging your first born as collateral will not work)(nor will pledging any other children, 'significant others,' friends, work colleagues, or your boss)

  • What Discounts does Uncle Tommy's offer?

  • 20% referral discount for you when each new client (your referrals) places an order of +200 desserts. Each new client earns 15% discount on their first order. Ask for more details

      *15% when deposit is rec'd 30 days from event date
      *10% when deposit is rec'd 15 days from event date

  • Can we give a "gift" order for another company?
  • A.
  • Sure, we get a lot of orders where one company is thanking another for their business, etc. The same deposit or payment terms apply.

  • Who are Uncle Tommy's 'precise yet unpretentious' staff persons?
  • A.
  • We have carved a very enviable nitche in the catering business due to the quality of our servers. Uncle Tommy's is blessed to have several long term hospitality pro's working with us...several of which have come to us from referrals by others on our staff. We have people who know how to hustle, have great interpersonal skills, have the 'other person '(you) in mind before themselves. They each have a great work ethic & always arrive with clean uniforms, on time, ready to work. They freelance in related and non-related occupations as well.

  • If it becomes unavoidable and we have to reschedule or cancel an event already secured by a deposit, what are our options?
  • A.
  • Our first choice is to take care of your need to reschedule or to cancel. After that, it depends on when we are notified. Two important factors: If we have product already delivered specifically for your event that cannot be used elsewhere, we'll negotiate that cost in our discussion of your deposit/payment. Also, Uncle Tommy enjoys the loyal services of his 'precise yet unpretentious ' service staff, in part, through his cancellation policy: if under 3 weeks notice, staff are paid for the event if they cannot be assigned elsewhere at that point.

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy

Uncle Tommy's will make every effort to accommodate changes, should an event need to be rescheduled or cancelled. When less than three (3) week notice is given, if assigned staff can be rescheduled for that same day, everybody is happy...however, if staff cannot be assigned to another event, a labor charge will be deducted from deposit. Also, any special order costs for inventory or supplies that cannot be properly reallocated to another event will be deducted from deposit. Ask Tommy for details.
